The finish is not satin - it is very, very glossy, not something I'd think an amateur could repair. This damage was done by a hungry dog, I was told. It also has some damage to the wood at the level of the keys on either side where the legs would be, if there were legs. It is medium wood color, has a bench, no legs. I bought it for $500 about 12 years ago and thought it was about 10 years old then. Diaphragmatic, we've checked behind the piano with a flashlight and can't find a thing. let me know some details of what the piano looks like and I'll give you my humble opinion on what price to sell it at on craigs list.
